About Me

It is a bit difficult to write this "about me" page. I believe that I, and what I think about myself, are constantly changing. I am very fortunate to be surrounded by close family and friends, who help me grow, bring me joy, and essentially, make life worth living.

I am a Software Engineer, living in the Pacific North West since the last 12 years. Software development has been my passion since high school. I consider myself lucky to have found my passion early in life and to have gotten the opportunities to pursue it. I am also lucky to be in a profession which allows me time and energy to pursue various other interests and goals in life. I love to read, travel, paint, do other arts & crafts, take advantage of the beautiful PNW outdoors and spend time with loved ones. I love learning new things and often struggle to decide how to best spend my spare time - practicing Spanish, guitar, roller blading, juggling etc. or learning all the various other things I wish I could do, like play tennis, dance or surf to name a few.

I have long thought of writing about topics I find important or meaningful and sharing thoughts and ideas, hence this blog.

A Year In Review: 2020

[At the end of every year, I try to go through this process of reflecting back at the year, remembering some of the good moments, retrospection on the bad and reminding myself of things that I learnt from all of it. Health

 A special someone asked me last December: "what are your top three priorities for the year 2020?" A surprisingly pleasant and refreshing question compared to the common question about new year resolutions which I never had a good answer to btw. I had to think about it for a minute, before being able to articulate: "my top three priorities for 2020, in order: 1) health, 2) family (including close friends that are pretty much family) and 3) self-development (both personal and professional)." I later realized that these are not just my priorities for the year 2020 - these have consistently been my top 3 priorities for several years now (maybe not in that order however).  Health, I have grown up hearing, is the most important thing I must focus on throughout my life.
